This week wouldn’t be Sound Vibration Week without the presence
of Jonathan Goldman! He’s known around many circles as the
grandmaster of sound healing, and his sooth ing energy and
incredible knowledge of this rapidly growing field were what made
this call what it was.
Jonathan got started in sound when he was a DJ and a
singer/guitarist in a rock band in the 70s. During one performance,
he became acutely aware of the negative influence his band’s
music was having on the audience. People were becoming more
violent with the help of his music, alcohol and other substances.
While observing them, he wondered if his music could make
people feel good.
To learn if this was possible, he registered for a workshop being
offered by Sara Vincent, known as The Divine Mother of Sound.
During this workshop, he was placed in a circle, given an Amethyst
crystal to hold, and the participants began chanting his name.
He likened this experience to being out of body. When the
workshop was over, he became more interested in working
with sound and crystals. Shortly after, he formed the Sound
Healers Association.
Jonathan made it clear that we all have the ability to use
sound as a healing modality, or as a gateway to touch the
Divine and be touched by the Divine.
He then spoke of how sound can be used as a tool for
transformation, and how everything is in a state of vibration
and is conceptually creating sound. He also made mention
that just because we can’t hear something doesn’t mean
a sound isn’t being produced.
He stated that our bodies are always creating an orchestra
of sound. That when we’re healthy, we’re playing a
symphony of health.
